Team Management
executive director
Paul Lake serves as the Founder and Executive Director. Having started the team in 1983 Mr. Lake spent most of his career in business management and also served ten years in law enforcement including four years as a police K9 handler in the DFW area. He is also a Search Manager as well as a K9 Handler for an Airscent K9 and a Trailing K9 (in training).
President
Vikki Rose joined the team in 2016. She spent her career educating others in the field of forensic science. Vikki serves as the Trailing Director while working her own trailing K9. Vikki has been instrumental in developing and upholding the strict training standards for the trailing program.
VICE PRESIDENT
Steve Deutsch joined the team in 1999. He has spent over 45 years in the fire service. He has had multiple K9 partners, both live find and human remains detection. In addition to his role as vice president, he is a Search Manager and facilitates the training of new search managers.
SECRETARY & Treasurer
Laura Flynn, EdD joined the team in 2009 and has spent her career in the field of education. She both teaches and helps develop teaching programs for early education students in the DFW area. In addition to her role as Team Secretary Laura is also a K9 Handler for HRD, Search Manager and helps train other Search Manager recruits.
